Hangal, Aug. 29: National Sports Day was celebrated on the occasion of Major Dhyan Chand Jayanti herein Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Hangal. Khushi, a student of class 5, explained the importance of National Sports Day, gave details behind this celebration on the occasion of hockey legend Dhyan Chand Jayanti and shared details about Dhyan Chand’s contribution to sports, his legendary status in hockey, and the Padma Bhushan he received for his achievements.
